7/27/2020…Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book Tips!
Putting…Always keep the hands even with or ahead of the putter on the follow-through. Read your line from behind the ball. Take your stance, glance at the hole and the putter blade to see that it’s square to your line. Take two or three practice strokes, concentrating to judge distance. The set the blade behind the ball and imitate your last practice stroke. This system helps keep your mind on the stroke, not the importance of the putt. Putts should die in the hole. A cup is only one inch wide for a putt hit too hard…four inched for one that dies at the hole. Your stroke should be the same length back and through.
