The Weed Cutter…One of the best swing training aids you can still buy is the common weed cutter. The motion you make lopping off weeds is the perfect action of swinging a golf club through the hitting area. The weed cutter is also heavy and builds golf muscles. How To Tell Where You’re Aimed…Take your stance, and hold the club shaft along the front of your thighs. Look where the club is pointing. That is where you are aimed. Take Dead Aim…Once you address the ball, hitting it should be the most important thing in your life at that moment. Shut out all thoughts other than your target and taking dead aim at it. Forget about how your swing may look, and concentrate instead on where you want the ball to go. Your mind will take over, and more often than not make your muscles hit the ball toward the target. Always pick a spot on the fairway or green and swing away.

The Follow-Through…If you have made a proper swing, your follow-through will display it. When you practice, pose at the end of your swing a few seconds to study your follow-through. Good balance with your weight on the forward foot and elbows out in front of the body is what you should feel and remember. Work on your follow-through first as a way to learn the right type of action down in the hitting area.
